Orange was an unquestionably obnoxious color. It wasn't innocuous like grey, or brown or black. Orange took over the palette it shared and drew attention to itself shamelessly. For that exact reason, Hermione wondered why it took her so long to notice the single orange hair that was threaded in the sleeve of her Potions professor's robes.
