Look, Gotham wasn't bad. Being Nightwing wasn't bad. He was satisfied with life in Gotham. As Robin and for a brief period of time Nightwing, he had peace. But Grandfather was dying, and he had been begging him to take his place by his side for years. His life was always going to come down to one decision. Batman or the League was it so bad he was starting to prefer the second one?
