The story begins 20 years ago. Megure - no longer considered a rookie - is now a fully fledged police officer of the Tokyo MPD. Japan's economy has not fully recovered in the previous 5 years. This story focuses more on older and dead characters, as detectives like Shinichi Kudo have not been born. This fanfic contains a re-telling of canon story arcs from the original series.
