Draco Malfoy left for Granger's office since he didn't want to see Potter face-to-face. He knew he wouldn't stop making sarcastic remarks while tipping off Potter about a secret base of operations for smugglers. It must be a casual visit. He wanted to parade his knowledge about Dark Arts. He didn't want to admit Potter's predominance over him.
