Emma walked out onto the pier to join him, and as she got closer, the tension in his body and sadness on his face made the irritation and angry words on the tip of her tongue slide away. She was silent for a long moment as she moved to stand beside him, sliding their hands together the same way they had held them the night before. (post 4.2, cannon friendly)
