I heard a howl and jumped, startled. Bad move. My foot snapped a branch and I heard a small whimper before silence ensued. I turned around slowly and quietly, intending to keep going, but came face to face with the werewolf. I looked into his golden brown eyes and I instantly knew there was no point. I was trapped.
