Among the taguel, it was said that one's soul was taken in by the moon after death. Grieving in the wake of her grandmother's passing, Pashmina had her own ideas of what might constitute an afterlife – ideas which were threatened by her warren's plan to move to a big farm on the Ylissean mainland, leaving behind the island that was their home. Pashmina, of course, had other plans.
