7 years after the Rise, Caesar and his apes discover a strange troop of apes with a human girl sick from the simian flu. Deciding to take in the girl before her inevitable death, the apes are shocked when she survives. She claims that she and the apes escaped from a lab experimenting on them for a cure to the flu.
