There was a lot left unrecorded after the Cell Games about the lives of Earth's fighters, particularly of two of the newest to the concept of peace and life. It wasn't easy or simple, but this is how they reclaimed Earth as a home and became who they were in later years. This begins the moment 18 leaves the tower of Earth's guardian, and follows the two androids from there.
