Years have passed since J-Day. Cait, now Sheriff, appoints Vi to the head of her own special operations taskforce, 516. Ren, daughter of the now disgraced and deceased Sheriff Marcus, is adopted by Cait and Vi, and earns a place in 516. In an ordinary night, the duo receive a visit from an unlikely messenger warning them things are not as they seem.
