It was cheap and simple ring that changed colours the more he held it, alternating between purple and orange. He cast a few preliminary charms but found nothing immediately out of place and pocketed it. For the night, he forgot all about the unusual ring that was slowly turning to a mix of orange and yellow in his right trouser pocket.
