Bard hardly has time to provide for himself and his mother, let alone moon after girls. Then a wealthy merchant family moves back into Lake-town, and their beautiful daughter catches his eye and his heart. But meddling parents, his own poverty, and an up and coming political figure all seem to be conspiring against them. Bard/OC, set eighteen years before the events of The Hobbit.
