Freak knows his duty is with his family - the one who has taken him, cared for him and given him an entire cupboard all to himself. And Aunt Petunia tells him that they are lying, that they want to take him away, that he has to stay there but keep his head down, that they're saying nothing but lies about his rotten parents. She tells him not to believe them. So Freak doesn't.
