There was a lot of speculation on what Harry Potter would be like when he returned to the wizarding world. Not even Dumbledore was sure about it. Nobody expected him to be like this; insanely powerful, thirsty for power, cleverer than half the students put together, deceptively charming, possessing abilities people haven't seen in a hundred years, and completely evil.
