A prophecy is simply vague words given meaning and importance by those who believe in them. Indeed, prophecies are crafted to be purposefully obscure. The problem with vague, world-saving prophecies is that they cut both ways. The prophecy states that someone will have the power to save the world. That same prophecy also hints that they will have the power to destroy it.
