Misunderstandings

"I can't wait to see you, Charlie. I miss you dreadfully," Ruth said happily. After a brief pause she ended the call. "I'll see you on Friday. Love you, too." Harry let the door shut quietly and hurried down the stairs, not wanting to explain to Ruth why he was lingering or to see the excitement in her eyes. Ruth has a visitor in town for the weekend but is everything as it seems?
