This is set at the beginning of Season 8 when Cas tells Dean that he had chosen to stay in purgatory and that Dean cannot save everybody. Dean nearly blurts out what he feels for Cas and the angel comes back to him to hear what Dean was about to say before he rushed off. Rated M. Complete.
