The Unthinkable Option

Rem accepted Subaru's proposal to running off with him. The witches cult attack went forward with out any interference and killed everyone in the village and destroyed the Rosswal mansion. Though Ram survived the attack making her the only survivor. Subaru would eventually lose Rem to deaths grasp, leaving him alone with no one left to turn to. No one else but Ram.
