What if the wizard Shazam chose Mary as his champion? Who wouldn't want to be a hero? But Mary had a different vision for her life. Shazam indulges Mary's wishes, and now she has to live with the consequences. Mary was adopted young, and Billy and Freddy both live in a foster home. All three wonder what happened to their birth parents, and together they plan to find out.
