The Gaunt Ring

The ring was ugly and somewhat clumsily made out of gold, probably a testament to the rudimentary skills and tools that were used to craft it. The stone itself was dull, black and uninteresting. It was now cracked and damaged, but brilliant. A bit like himself, he supposed.
