Lucy has never liked the idea of love or thoughtless decisions. Then Ly starts to make some comments about how gorgeous she is and how he found her skepticism and cynicism attractive. It's almost as if he pinpointed all of her insecurities, took the time to learn each and every one of them, and flourished her with so many compliments that she (almost) forgets them all.
