They had thought themselves prepared for the final battle against Ashera, after the slog that was the Tower of Guidance; they were not. After much of the group had fallen at the hand of Ashera, Soren, Micaiah, and Elincia are sent back in time by Yune in order to prevent the Judgement from happening a second time.
