Sometimes, loss is too hard to let go, and the past ends up haunting you in the depths of your dreams. The most you can do then is have someone to pull you through. A birthday tribute to Hijikata, though it is ironically a more Sougo and Mitsuba-centric story. Slight angst and even slighter fluff.
