Sakura left Konoha to protect herself. Too many times she was hurt, and eventually pain becomes resentment. Two years pass when an ally-turned-foe threatens the peace between nations which forces Sakura to return to her village. She is a changed woman, one who has sworn to protect herself from harm and most of all, to protect her heart from the man who broke it in the first place.
