AU. Voldemort won the war in 1987, expanding his hold on the magical world every year since then, and reducing the Mudbloods to slavery. However, some of them were secretly hidden in the Muggle world for their own protection. Thus, Hermione could have lived a peaceful Muggle life, had she not met by accident one of Voldemort's most loyal Death Eater.
