Slight spoilers for season 9 and I guess for 10. Castiel is willing to conduct the demon curing ritual in order to save Dean. However, his time is running out because of his weakened body due to his lost Grace. He confesses his sins and spends eight hours in the bunker's dungeon fighting to save his friend and hoping that he has the strength to save The Righteous Man one last time.
