September 1928. Mary and Matthew share a quiet moment together, as the next adventure is about to start.
"Matthew punched his pillow to give it a more comfortable shape, and then dug his head into it, closing his eyes and willing for sleep to come and take away the bitterness of this evening, of this whole day. But one minute passed, then another, and he sighed in frustration, just as alert as he'd been when he first got into bed." A 3x03 missing moment.
In the dim light of the new day, she finds him by the shore. Post-WWII AU.

At the annual Downton Easter Egg Hunt in 1922 Mary wishes her husband could be there with her. Fluff alert!
"I have a surprise for you," Mary told him quietly. "Oh?" Mary's smile turned teasing, but she couldn't keep the softness out of her voice when she spoke, and in all honesty, she didn't really mind it. "I do," she confirmed. "So you see, darling, in order for me to get your surprise you'll have to let me go." Mary, Matthew and a sweet surprise on their wedding night.
"She slid away from the crowd as quietly as she could, and made her way to the door, her head high, smiling charmingly at those greeting her, till she finally reached the exit and walked out into the sun. Matthew had moved away, but he was alone now, so she took a deep breath and walked up to him." [S1E05 missing moment]
