Cole and Prue find themselves stranded in the middle of the woods without the use of their magic. A group of demons who are responsible for the temporary suspension of the world's magic have tracked Prue and Cole to this location and mean to kill Prue in order to be rid of The Charmed Ones for good. Cole and Prue must put their differences aside and work together to stay alive.

A short alternate ending to the episode "I'm Okay-You Need Work," in which Tom went undercover at an adolescent facility which was abusing their patients. In this version, rather than Fuller and Hoffs finding Tom at the hospital, it is Fuller and Penhall who find him. Penhall then makes it his responsibility to watch over Hanson as the drugs work their way out of his system.

While traveling through Mirkwood, Thorin and Bilbo get separated from the others. Thorin finds himself having to work very hard to protect Bilbo as the hobbit continues to get himself into danger, while Bilbo realizes that he is a magnet to misfortune. The woods is full of peril, including confusion, twisted roots, poisonous plants, large spiders, suspicious elves and vicious orcs.

Bilbo is assigned watch duty for the first time, and is very nervous about the idea of being put in charge of such an important task. Completely unsure of himself, Bilbo reluctantly agrees to take on this responsibility. Fortunately, Bofur notices his concern and in an effort to ease Bilbo's worries stays up with him, telling the hobbit the story of the first time Bofur kept watch.

This story tells a slightly different version of Thorin's reaction to learning that Bilbo has given the Arkenstone to Bard. In his anger, the dwarf hurts the hobbit both physically as well as emotionally. The other dwarves, (specifically Balin,) must keep Bilbo safe from Thorin until the King Under the Mountain comes to his senses.
