Starting at the end of book 7, not everything is the same as cannon. After discovering his new power Harry tries his best to finish the war against the Dark Lord. Everything starts on chapter 35 of the Deathly Hallows. After his talk with Dumbledore and all the discoveries about the Hallows, Voldemort and the bond that unites them, Harry is brought back to his eleven year old self.
