Duchess Satine has been murdered at the hands of Darth Maul, Obi-Wan Kenobi's previous foe. And for Obi-Wan, his world is falling apart. After having experienced both death and love before, he knows what it feels like to loose someone - especially someone close to your heart. Now he must focus on detachment and trust in the force to overcome this obstacle.
My master's instructions were clear, no matter what your view is on politics, about Mandos, or force forbid – her. Remain calm and self-contained and focus on the task at hand. But getting angry is easy, you know. Very easy. But holding your tongue, extinguishing the parade of flames, just isn't.
Satine opened one eyes and observed her surroundings. Her aching body lay entombed under a mound of wreckage, she attempted to move but that caused her more pain. She had all but lost hope until she heard a voice calling her name. "Over here!" She breathed weakly as she listened to the voice.
In the aftermath of Ben Kenobi's death, he is brought into the force world, where he is reunited with his former love interest Duchess Satine Kryze.
Satine is dead and as for her beloved Christian; his world is falling apart. But when he sees her one day, how will he react? Will he be angered that she deceived him or relived that she is alive?
Satine chuckled slightly, picturing Qui-Gon's face as he scolded the pair afterwards. She really missed the way that he would tell them off for breaking the rules, the way that he always knew what to do, the way that he treated her, but most of all she missed the way that he would accept her and Obi-wan's relationship. Oh Obi-wan, she missed him most of all.
"I'm bored." Lux wined. "Can we do something fun?" "Like what?" Ahsoka retorted, turning to face him. "How about we play spin the bottle?" Anakin suggested, but he was met with puzzled looks.
But before Satine had a chance to reply she heard voices coming from down the hall. "Oh no Padmé! Obi-wan hide!" She shouted, ushering him under the desk; footsteps could now be heard as Padmé and her protocol droid ventured ever closer to Satine's apartment.
Screams were echoing around the room as well as grunts of pain. Obi-wan was with his friend and clone captain Rex shovelling coal as he was interrupted by his slave master. "Obi-wan Kenobi," He said in an amused tone. "Once a Jedi master, now a Jedi slave." He let out a menacing laugh. "Pity full."
"Cope? Anakin whatever do you mean?" A confused Obi-wan asked but he had already left. Obi-wan turned the letter over in his hands 'Obi' it read. He instantly recognised the familiar handwriting of Satine, it smelt like her. Honey and flowers, he was familiar with the smell and he loved it.
