With William Wallace's execution underway, Longshanks passes away from dysentery and a new king is crowned instead of his son. The old king's younger brother, Theodore, the Earl of Leicester, assumes the throne and goes to watch the execution. The new king harbors a deep secret and grand plans as he considers whether to spare Wallace's life.

Set right after the ending of Season 1. Jenny Mills finds some unexpected help from a U.S. Marshal on the trail of Henry Parrish. With the revelation that the feds have been fighting Moloch's demons too, she and Marshal Cassian team up to try and save Ichabod, Abbie, and Katrina.
