Short story I wrote a while ago. Hermione wakes up after the war a different person, with the blessing of her friends she becomes who she should always have been to escape the past and discover who she was as herself instead of a third and instead of a lie she'd always believed.

Guess who's back! This is something I wrote while on ff break. Two years! I missed you all. I had an idea and now wrote/started a couple around the central theme. The other two are romance but this is just a little drama/family one. It's Hermione pureblood but a different way than I have at least seen. Hope you like! I've taken a break from the whole ff world but reviews got me thinking again, special thanks to Feenrai. So here is an idea I had for a marriage law story. Let me know what you think. Hopefully it puts a different spin on the topic you've not read before.

War takes a dark turn, most die and those that survive are too broken to live, Harry and Hermione, most of all. They decide that winning isn't enough, they need to save who they can. Its worth the risk, to fix it or die trying. The war is over but two problems persist - blood purity and low population - the fix? Marriage Law to eliminate pure blood status and repopulate. Pure Bloods must marry a NON-pure blood and will be monitored for the treatment of their mate? All between 17 and 50 must marry by the anniversary of the war and produce at least one child? The war rages on for three years and at its end all he can do is forget so that with each returning memory he can hold her again in his arms and maybe this time change the end, or at least imagine it changed.
