The City is the last bastion of mankind, but not always regarded as a sanctuary for those fragmentary people. For at least one band of pioneers, they chose their own destiny - to fight back a scrap of Earth for themselves far away from the Traveler. But when a young pioneer stumbles across a seeking Ghost, will everything change for the desperate colony?

Each Guardian has their story as they awaken. This is about those stories. A brief vignette written to sate my need for the upcoming beta release, containing elements I'm probably going to be wildly wrong about.

In between leaving Asgard and the start of a new duty are the odd little moments of trying to fit in to a new place. This is three of those brief moments - boring paperwork, a stressful encounter in the lab, and a lesson on what starting over could really mean. (Codex 5)

Keres is a new Warlock lost in the old City, desperate to find her own way to her destiny. Captivated to a dangerous, mad extent by legends about ancient Thanatonauts, she is searching through the realm of death to find answers for why she's alive. She may not be ready for them. (This story deals frankly with death and suicide, please heed the note at the story's beginning.)

Director Coulson's first months in his new role are not destined to be easy ones. When a new threat from an old source sets out to make SHIELD's recovery more difficult than ever, Coulson needs every ally, every tool he can get to draw his opponent out - even if they come at risky costs. Spoilers for S1, mild spoilers for very early S2. (Codex 2)

Loki is forced to see that all permutations of his future end at Ragnarok, and like so many iterations before him demands his own chance to unbind himself from destiny.
