So many questions and so few answers. Shadow finds himself lost in a land and time period long before he was ever created. The 18th century is a brutal place and Shadow has to endure it without any memory of who he was prior to his awakening here. Can Shadow find his way? Or will his memories and purpose forever elude him?

Espio fears for the fate of his clan after not being in contact with them for years. Shadow joins up with him to uncover a dark secret amongst the caves of the Dragon Kingdom. Their journey sparks new emotion that Shadow can't yet understand. Is he changing and if so, can he accept himself?

Reality is often too harsh for freedom, but when two people lost in their current world find a gateway to a new beginning, they leave one life to start another. They both know that their lives will change forever, but will they be able to cope in these unfamiliar surroundings and will it be all that they hoped it would be?

Every bad thing to happen has been caused by someone, whether it was Dr. Eggman, Mephiles or someone else hell-bent on world destruction. But what happens when there is no villain? When there is no direct way to halt the course of action? No way to save those around you and no way to save yourself? Can people cope or will they fall when the circumstances are out of their control?
