  • Three Day's Dance

His resolve crumbled as though it had never been there to begin with. Bending till they were eye level, he told her truthfully, "I could never refuse a lady's plea. I won't tell your father – but please, in exchange, I would rather not lose my head."

  • And This is How the Story Goes

The story begins like this; He is seven and starving at sea, and he can't even cry because there is no water left in his body with which to create tears. His stomach feels like it has become concave, and as he curls himself up in a ball to stop the hunger pangs, he can count his ribs beneath his fingertips.

  • Look Up

"Ace-," He started tentatively, trying to figure out what else he was meant to say, and he felt Ace's body slip from his unresponsive limbs. "Hey ass," Ace managed to choke out, coughing, and a hint of a grin played across his features, "My eyes are up here."

  • Song of the Swords

Wado is tiny when she first appears before him; her tears are as silver as her hair and the moonlight, and they gleam from within with golden fire as they pour down her cheeks. Zoro's heart fairly stops in his chest for a very, very long moment.

  • (don't) Stay

"Please make me stay," you thought he whispered, but his lips don't move and his eyes don't hold a single letter of the words keep me or don't let me go. You think you'd say it yourself, 'please stay,' but your tongue doesn't work when it comes to him, so you couldn't have. You couldn't possibly have, not as he begins to move, his last goodbyes said.

  • Above the Waves

"Dunno. I think there was-" Zoro stopped, gaze flicking towards the ocean again, and this time the blond's head followed Zoro's eyes. The blond's mouth curled into a smirk around his smoke-stick, and he cocked an eyebrow at Zoro. "What, don't tell me that you think you get rescued by a mermaid or somethin' like that."

  • Simultaneous Seduction Attempts

Sanji lit up his cigarette, tapping his fingers against the counter top as he stared at Zoro, still lightly dripping from the impromptu dip in the water. "Okay, so I may admit that didn't go as well as I thought it would…" "It didn't go well at all! HE FELL IN THE OCEAN."

  • Flower Boy

Ace recently got a job helping Makino's flower shop, organising the little place for its new opening. He can't say that the work was very hard, but when a stranger comes up to him on the day of the grand opening, will Ace accept his affections?

  • Maple-Syrup Messes

Canada left Prussia alone for a total of half an hour while he had a shower. How the heck did the other nation manage to do this?

  • You're My Land Ahoy

/But it's you my love, You're my land ahoy./ The first drink of water he'd had in weeks tasted almost as sweet as the first time he and Luffy had kissed; he took it the same way too. Desperate and hungry, a bodily need that he couldn't resist or fight against. Luffy still tasted like salt, but to Zoro that taste was familiar as the smattering of freckles laid under his palm

  • A Garden That Will Not Grow

"How? There's nothing here!" The dark haired teenager grabbed the dirt, brandishing it to prove his point, and he saw how the man's nose flared, upturned in scorn. "Make it grow," the man repeated again, "Or both you and your brother will be killed. Thieves aren't meant to be dealt with so lightly."

  • Colour in the Roses

Tears gleam on Chopper's cheeks as Luffy kneels next to him in the snow and whispers, "They're the most beautiful colour you can imagine. And when you can see it, I'll find us an island where the cherry blossoms bloom the same shade that they do here." When, not if, he thinks as Chopper turns wide and teary eyes on him, and when he offers a grin, Chopper hesitantly grins back.

  • Selective Visibility

In short, it had to be the most awful idea he'd ever heard her try and con him into, and at one point she'd attempted to convince him to drive across America and back for a shoe sale. They lived in Europe.

  • Bets and their Consequences

A joke. Treat it like a joke. He could do that – he could treat the whole thing like a joke, like a dare that Thatch had come up with, and when Marco turned him down, he could just laugh the whole thing off!

  • Something Magical

Sanji's voice had dissolved into high-pitched, indecipherable screeching after the first five minutes, and it wasn't until his throat inflated and his scream had been interrupted by a surprisingly loud crooooak that he stopped. Nami was pretty sure he whimpered.

  • Wednesday's Child

It's a Thursday when red first graces his upper lip on the Merry, when a tiny trickle of blood steals from his nose, and he only notices when the taste of iron is in his mouth; his nose is bleeding. Again.

  • Pardon my French

"Animosity." "Pérdon?" at seeing Arthur's glare, Francis rolled his eyes and gave a little shake of his head, "Pardon?" he changed it to, tone completely sarcastic.

  • First Meetings

Greed blinked, staring at the grey ceiling above him with a slight furrow to his brow. His lips pursed slightly, before he moved his jaw, cracking the sides as though he were tasting something. He blinked again, twice this time, before sitting up. "I want it."

  • A High Society Lady Should Never Rescue Herself

He practically kept Ace chained, for fears he would jump aboard the first ship he could and never look e trademan's son probably would've too, if it weren't for the fact that if anyone discovered that he were biologically a girl he'd get booted off the ship at first opportunity...Even if first opportunity was on a tiny patch of sand in the middle of nowhere.

  • Fade

Actually, Ace thinks, groaning quietly as Luffy manages to send an entire table crashing down on Dadan, the boy laughing at their caretaker's surprised yelp and curses, It's like something's missing. Like he's missing something important.
