Year 6 AU An alcoholic offers Harry a job and he takes it, since there isn't any reason not to. Employment, however, brings out the monsters in the dark, the writing on the wall, the worst in men, and the very darkest parts of man's mind.

They found him in a Muggle hospital with too many broken bones to count. His brain was fried - nothing could be done. But a guilty Remus insists on finding out what happened to Harry, while he slides deeper into a strange insanity. Year 5 AU

At 8 PM, he was safe at his aunt's home, or as safe as he could be at seventeen and the center of war. At 9 PM, Harry comes to Number 12, bloody, older by five years and pleading for asylum. The tale he tells to the Order is almost unbearable to hear.
