Skarlet is defeated by a Shaolin Monk, but he refuses to kill her. Rather, he and Nightwolf weaken Shao Kahn's magic, so that she lives, but is able to think for herself. The Monk now must help Skarlet learn many things she never knew, including how to speak. But what happens when Skarlet is conflicted. Does she go back to her old ways, or follow her heart?
