She casted one last glance back at her mutant niece and her werewolf husband, scoffing at the sight of them, before leaving the castle. It was just as well that they never got their happy ending.
Still, she couldn’t help but feel that Andromeda Tonks sounded much better than Andromeda Malfoy ever would. It shattered her heart into pieces, as fragile as diamonds, when he said he didn’t feel the same way.
She made no movement to stop him, didn’t call out, nothing. Just let him go, let him fly away like the sand slipping through her fingers. They didn’t, after all had been pondered over and thought constantly about, deserve a happy ending.
Hermione was his Eden. And he was going to do everything he could to make sure he would remain here, in her arms, forever.
