A series of quick and simple North and South fanfic stories that follow the love and life of John Thornton and Margaret Hale, spanning from their early days of misunderstandings to their happily forever after.
In this crossover of classical literature featuring North&South, Pride&Prejudice and Jane Eyre, John Thornton is horrified to discover his drawing room is plagued by the female antagonists of these iconic novels. Irritated, he is forced to listen to them wag their acid tongues, but the mood soon turns when they begin to pick on a certain young lady, of whom he is very fond indeed.
Compelled to marry John Thornton to save her family from ruin, Margaret Hale finds it difficult to settle in her new home, especially when she hears strange noises coming from her husband's bedroom, leading her to wonder what is going on, or worse, what might be wrong...terribly wrong.
Borrowed from my series, The Thornton Tales, this super smutty short follows John and Margaret as they spend a few days in Manchester. With no children or commitments, what could a young married couple possibly do to entertain themselves? Whilst unpacking, Margaret notices that she is missing something and after interrogating her mischievous husband, they check out the hotel bed.
As the winter nights draw in, Margaret Hale feels increasingly confused about her feelings for John Thornton, the man whom she refused, coming to realise she sorely misses his friendship. Then, as Christmas approaches, Margaret decides to do what she can to show the mill master just how much she cares about him.
Set in WW1, this one-shot is dark and different from my other stories in The Thornton Tales collection. However, it still contains the seeds of light and love as it looks at the life of John and Margaret Thornton.
On Valentine's Day, an irritable John learns of a new sensation sweeping the town of Milton, in which people exchange cards by way of showing their affection. At first, he thinks this romantic fad is nothing but nonsense, but then he suddenly gets an idea, thinking of a certain someone whom he would very much like to pay court to. The only thing is, will she welcome his attentions?
