Nancy, Jonathan, New York and a baby.
Nancy and Jonathan comforting each other after nightmares. And talking some stuff out.
Standalone sequel to my fic Together. Picks up right where the s4 epilogue left off. Nancy and Jonathan talk and plan with everyone else. Nancy and Jonathan talk shit out with Steve, Nancy has a moment with Karen and at the end Nancy and Jonathan finally have a tender moment to themselves.
Nancy takes Jonathan, Max and Lucas out for some target practice. Post s4 canon divergence with Max not in a coma.
Fix it and a bit of missing scene set during the s4 epilogue, letting Nancy and Jonathan have the real talk they need to have. Also letting Nancy and the Cali crew catch up.
"It's cute that you match," she informs Jonathan with a smile as she saunters into his kitchen in the morning after a wonderful night spent together.
"Look." They break apart from each other and he follows Nancy's gaze to see what caught her attention. It's easy to spot. In another part of the cemetery, where all the freshly dug graves after Starcourt are, he sees a familiar long mane of red hair falling down a small framed back. "First time?" Nancy asks in a soft voice when they get near. Max jolts a little.
Flipping through the photographs, the one that really catches his eye now though isn't one of his own. He has to hand it to Mrs. Wheeler, she really captured a moment with this shot. - His mom reveals and hands over a framed photo she's been hiding behind her back. It's one she took of him and Nancy early in the summer.
"You sure about this?" He asks Will again as he climbs through the window. "Yes, I told you, don't worry, Jonathan used to sneak Nancy in all the time when they were in high school," Will assures him as he helps him through. "Yeah, but what if we get caught?"
"Where's Nancy!" He repeats. "What's her favorite song!" Robin shouts at him. aka Jonathan gets there just in time to save Nancy when no one else can.
"Surprise!" She came. She actually came. Nancy's standing in front of him in the airport, smiling widely at him. He feels his face change into a grin in a way it hasn't since he last saw her over Christmas when they went back to Hawkins. He feels a whole range of feelings building up inside him. He's so happy to see her he feels butterflies in his stomach and a warm fuzzy feeling
