Commander Heidern is, as always, a father and friend to his people-and he's celebrating a birthday today. He does what he always does-looks through some old photos and remembers the past.
Having been apart for a bit over two weeks, Adel and Seirah were happy to meet back up again for a night on the town. Coming back to the Sky Noah, the pair decide to have just a bit of fun...
During the intermission of the current tournament in Oslo, the crew decides to stop by the Sky Noah so one of Gwan's new cubs can be seen. Adel and K'-who don't see each other often-just have a little chat. (Short one-shot.)
(Post-XIII, pre-XIV timeline.) After a tournament, Benimaru Nikaido found himself wandering about South Town for a few drinks; going into a favorite rock bar, he happens to run into another entrant, Shen Woo, whom he knew somewhat in passing from mutual friends. It turns out the two lads may have something else on their mind, as well...(One-shot.)
It's summertime again, and the Ikaris never miss a summer party these days. This time, instead of an old Victorian manor in England, the unit is renting a beach mansion off the coast of France somewhere. As usual, expect antics, food, fellowship, slice of life, humor, and Ralf & Clarks' deadly party punch. And whatever else might happen...
Oslo, Norway. Some time after the 14th tournament and before the 15th, a mysterious host ends up with Einherjar Stadium, ready to host a special tournament. 32 fighters from all over roll up to compete, while more come to investigate just what might be going on behind the scenes. New bonds have formed, and old grudges need be hashed out. Come join, and cheer for your favorites!
A young Duo Lon, troubled by his actions that resulted in disaster when he lost control while the spirits haunted him, was visiting Shanghai on a fairly routine trip. It was here where he discovered something that would help him focus again, to put the screaming spirits to rest.
It's springtime, and the crew decides to take a few days to themselves in late April. Having fond memories of the huge Victorian manor the Ikaris rented out for the previous years' company summer party, they decide to get ahold of it for a long weekend to revisit fond memories, and bring another friend along as well. Fluff, slice of life, food porn, humor and chilling.
A couple of weeks after assassinating a clan traitor, a not-yet-seventeen year old Duo Lon is almost healed from his encounter. His father-still a loyal and kind member of the clan-drops in on him for a chat and a game of strategy to see how the young man is doing. Slice of life/backstory(well, in the life of a young assassin...)
Adelheid Bernstein tried to find a way to clean up the family business in a way that he could cope with while not leaving a huge power vacuum behind. Deciding to go 'lighter gray', he offered protection to more benign folks who operated in the underworld. When Mr. Big decided to push his buttons and strike out at a few people he was protecting, his hand was forced...(One-shot.)
When Ron betrayed the Hizoku, burning the village and killing many himself, Duo Lon had vowed to kill him for his actions, despite the man being his own father. But what happened in the direct aftermath of the betrayal, when the young, usually calm and collected assassin had to come to terms with everything that had happened? (One-shot, backstory piece.)
A crude, boisterous brawler and a silent, deadly assassin; not really two people who you'd think would become buddies. But become friends they did. This is a little exploration into what may have happened past Duo Lon's and Shen Woo's initial meeting, when they started to actually become friends.
Another chapter in the life of a younger Duo Lon. His training now takes him to learning how to decompose and recompose one's body to move silently from one place to the next. As one might imagine, when dealing with the realm of death and the living at once...things can go wrong, even if this time it was not with him. (One-shot, Backstory.)
Another birthday comes and goes, and Adel gets to ruminate on how his life has changed for the better-his partner of a year and a half now at his side, and his circle of friends growing. One-shot, fluff.
Leona was never one for birthday celebrations; she rarely even thinks about the day. This year, she decides to take a step and actually do a little something, even if it's small and quiet. Sometimes, it really is the little things that matter.
After their vacation-and their mission a few weeks ago-Duo Lon and Leona have grown far closer than their original, intended 'friends with benefits' setup. Having never really celebrated much in the way of the holidays in their lives, the two decide to navigate their newly developing relationship quietly...in their own way.
Some days after the Ikari's company party, Whip and Adelheid were mostly just getting ready for the holidays. It seems like the general warmth of the holiday spirit manifested itself in other ways...(One-Shot.)
As always, the Ikaris have a holiday party to wind down the year, with a lot of booze, food, and chilling. This time, rather than just a newly minted couple, the crew visiting the party grows. Time to visit to see what sort of antics and discussions the crew gets into...(Simple, slice of life holiday fluff.)
When some of the Bernstein's old enemies pop up, it's not enough that Adel is capable of bringing them down with his own hands; they have put other people around the city in danger in an attempt to stay his hand. So his friends-Ralf Jones and Clark Still, Heidern's second in command and best men, help him by spearheading a mission like they know how.(UPDATE! Chapter 4)
