In northern mythology, Heimdallr is a a son to eight mothers and one, guardian of the gods and a god himself, found on the bridge Bifrost. He and Loki are to kill one another when the Ragnarok befalls. Heimdall on the bridge Vifrost, asmodean and a devoted city guard, can be promised something entirely different.
