The adventures of Scott Summers and Jean Grey as they manifest powers, attend a school for people like them, join up with a politically motivated mutant strike force, fight bigots and masters of magnetism alike, get attacked by heavily armed robots, possibly fall a little bit in love and generally grow up fighting to protect a world that continues to hate and fear them.
