In 20XX, Dr. Light has created 6 Robot Masters to help make the world a better place. However, Dr. Wily sees the Masters as an opportunity to bring the world to it's knees, as he reprograms them to do his bidding. Soon the world's armies falls helpless to the Wily Army. Dr. Light's robotic son, Rock offers to go and fight Dr. Wily as the super robot Mega Man to restore freedom.
