Atlantis is back in the Pegasus galaxy and everything is changing. John decides that he can't deal with it, so he decides to go and spend a few days with Carson, who has recently left Atlantis to treat the sick and injured of world. With too much to drink and a black spider, things don't go well for John and he ends up back on Atlantis in the infirmary.

John and Teyla are back in their own time after their adventure in the future. Rodney is determined to find Arastica in the past as is John. John has the coordinates for Sheppard's planet and Woolsey's given him the go-ahead to find it. It should be a simple mission, but could it be that simple? A sequel to 'A glitch in time.

Cut off from the gate, Sheppard has a chance to talk to Ronon and find out what has been bothering him and they are able to reach an understanding.

Maybe McKay was right when he'd said that the Sheppard in the other universe was a different man because he had been given a second chance. As he lay dying he wondered how his life could have worked out differently if someone had given him that chance, perhaps he wouldn't be the loser that he had become. This story takes place after season five's episode 'Vegas'.
