Skye has a bully problem at school. She gets picked on a lot by three girls in particular. Everest, Gasket, and Ella. When her stepbrother Marshall catches wind of it, he decides to step in for her and try to convince the girls to lay off. But they never do anything without a price, and they know just what they want from him in exchange for leaving his stepsister alone.
In a post-apocalyptic world, a motor gang calling themselves the Patrollers try to survive in a valley infested with other gangs. But they soon discover the valley is no longer safe and threatens to flood. With the other gangs gunning for them and time running against them, they've got a hell of a trip to make. arshall is only trying to enjoy a normal day. But Gasket and Everest seem to have developed a rivalry for his affection. The competition gets pretty fierce, but despite everyone knowing what's going on, Marshall seems to be oblivious as always.
Thomas gets a special delivery and is excited to show everyone. And with the winter shutting everything down he has plenty of time to. However, the Fat Controller calls on Thomas to help the children return home since the school bus broke down. With nothing to do, Emily joins him as his fireman. And they get to know each other.
