An orphaned boy named Will is forced to live with his abusive aunt and uncle, and wishes he could be free. He gets his chance when he's invited to his friend's house for a sleepover, and finds out the secrets that his aunt and uncle have been hiding from him.

After training goes horribly wrong for the guardians, Cornelia decides to train them individually. However, a monster attacks an old warehouse to send a message, and something unexpected occurs.

After finding out that her grandfather has become a monster, Izzy falls into despair, and the rest of the guardians must think of ways to cheer her up. However, Minotaurus interrupts them, as he plans to finish Izzy off with the final blow.
