The kernel of the story, as it so often was, was love. This love was between executioner and condemned, between the axe and the neck it was told to fall upon. The neck it only scraped.
Danny had actually been looking forward to Casper High's ghost safety assembly, but, between a ghost attack and his parents' newest weapon, things go wrong very quickly. Now Danny will have to fight not only ghosts and hunters, but his own instincts to get everyone back home safely. If at all. Updates on Fridays and sometimes Sundays. (Cover by me.)
An encounter with Desiree leads to a body swap - but not with who you may be expecting. A gift for a reviewer. :3
After an encounter with a seemingly-friendly ghost, Danny's headache turns into a different kind of problem. (TW for soft body horror and some blood.)
A collection of shorts and drabbles. Heads up- will often post multiple stories in this in a single day. Now Playing: Twin.
What if the first quirk in One for All to activate wasn't the power stockpile, but Danger Sense? (Spoilers for OfA user names and quirks.) (Not plot important, but present: Hagakure is buff. Hagakure is shredded. Hagakure has an eight pack.) Canon-typical violence.
Danny is half-ghost. That means he's half-dead. He half-died. Thing is, dying produces a corpse. Or at least half of one. (TW for frequent mentions of dead bodies.)
A dome of green surrounded him and the boy, thrumming with magic the likes of which he had only seen once, in a tome thrice forbidden. "Oh," said Loki, almost purring. "You are interesting. What are you?" (Please help me come up with a better title.)
A continuation of chapter 13 of my Ectober Shorts. Do Jack and Maddie have any normal friends? No. No, they do not. Do they have any friends who aren't doors to other planes of reality or hosts to ancient ghosts? That remains to be seen.
Some light body horror.
In which cursed knowledge is discovered and then inflicted on others.
Innocent questions could take a person down dangerous rabbit holes. Questions like, for example, "Why doesn't ghost ice melt?"
Danny was not a particularly strong spirit, all things considered, nor an old one. Still, he was proud to say that he was good at what he did and reliable. The first and best weapon in Mage Jasmine's arsenal, the scourge of her enemies, her protector.
Danny really doesn't think he's suited for a murder mystery. Sadly, a murder mystery he is in. Sequel to Flight Simulation and Detection.
If the Ghost Zone had a secret, it was this: Pariah Dark had been asleep when he was crowned. He'd had a good reason to rage. (Slight body horror.)
There were safety instructions taped to the walls of the Fentonwork's lab. Posters. They were old and partially hidden bookshelves, cabinets, various inventions, and, most recently, the plastic frames of the quarantine chambers, but they were there. Written in faded ink, displayed with words, diagrams, and various cheerful cartoons.
Phantom didn't know where he came from. He'd gathered, in small scraps of knowledge from others, that this was normal. You forgot things, when you died, when you became a ghost, when you gave up what you were in exchange for what you could do. It followed that Phantom must have died.
Don't you wish times like these could last forever?
It had been a long time since the last truly quiet night in Amity Park, the last night when all its residents were able to sleep deeply, without it being a ghostly plot. They took advantage of it and enjoyed it immensely. But when they woke up, they had to wonder if they shouldn't have been at least a little suspicious.
Prompt by faedemon: Ghosts are naturally drawn to death. When people die in Amity Park, Danny keeps finding the bodies. (PR263)
