After Ethan and Amy's village is destroyed in a massive blizzard that leave them with nothing, they go off in search of a new home and come across Hiccup and the dragon riders. But as they start their new adventure, Ethan struggles to overcome the trauma left behind by the destruction of his village and the loss of the girl that he loved. Ten years after Grimmel's attack on New Berk, Hiccup and the other riders have a sudden desire to return to Dragon's Edge. As they return to a place that holds many memories for them, both good times, and bad, Zephyr and Nuffink get a chance to learn more about their parents and the bond that held the Dragon Riders together during the trying time they faced on the Edge.
