No matter how guilty he thought he should feel, Harry couldn't help but be grateful for Dudley's seventh birthday party, and the accident his cousin suffered. When his parents failed to cope with a handicapped son, Harry seized his chance to find a place, a purpose, and along the way also found a family, albeit of one.

My take on Dumbledore is Evil, Voldemort is Misunderstood, and Snape is Harry's Father.

Narcissa is a genius; Lucius was indeed under the Imperius Curse; Dumbledore is manipulative but not evil. What if Narcissa recues Harry from the Dursley's weeks after the fall of Voldemort? Harry is raised by the Malfoys.

Sirius, though impetuous and often immature, is actually an adult and an Auror, not a lunatic. Dumbledore hasn't been Headmaster since the war got truly started; he is full time Chief Warlock and Supreme Mugwump, besides running the Order. Also the Ministry is a functional government. (Despite the title there are currently no plans for any relationships of any kind.)

An alternate relationship fic based on 'the Darkness Within' by Kurionne. Harry is raised by Voldemort and thinks James and Lily were horribly abusive. At 16, as Voldemort's prime assassin, his only friend is Draco, until Draco becomes more than a friend.
